Featuring a book, music, and lyrics by Jonathan Larson Grant winners and NYTW Usual Suspects The Lazours (Daniel and Patrick), We Live in Cairo is inspired by the young Egyptians who took to the streets amidst the throes of the Arab Spring.
It stars Ali Louis Bourzgui, Nadina Hassan, Drew Elhamalawy, John El-Jor, Michael Khalid Karadsheh, and Rotana Tarabzouni.

Partially inspired by Sophocles' Antigone, the show is an intimate exploration of love that goes beyond faith between a queer Pakistani-American man and his deeply devout mother.
