Bailiwick Chicago concludes its 2014-15 season with Murder Ballad, conceived by and with book and lyrics by Julia Jordan, music and lyrics by Juliana Nash, directed and choreographed by James Beaudry with musical direction by Nicholas Davio.
The company features Amanda Horvath, Chris Logan, Matt W. Miles and Camille Robinson.
A love triangle gone wrong, the musical "centers on Sara, an Upper West Sider who seems to have it all, but whose downtown past lingers enticingly and dangerously in front of her. This sexy, explosive, rock musical explores the complications of love, the compromises we make and the betrayals that can ultimately undo us. Following a sold out, Off-Broadway run at Manhattan Theatre Club, Bailiwick Chicago is pleased to present the Chicago premiere of this critically acclaimed new work."
The production team for includes Megan Truscott* (scenic designer), Raquel Adorno (costume designer), Charles Cooper* (lighting designer), Patrick Bley* (sound designer), Jon Martinez* (asst. director/dramaturg), Emily Boyd (asst. scenic designer) and Kate Black (stage manager).
The show continues through May 9 at the Flat Iron Arts Building, 1579 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago. Tickets are currently available at bailiwickchicago.com.
