News Patti LuPone Will Light a Torch in NYC Olivier and two-time Tony winner Patti LuPone, who begins performances in the LA Opera production of Ghosts of Versailles Feb. 7, will return to the Manhattan nightspot 54 Below in April.

The acclaimed singing actress will offer The Lady with the Torch beginning April 1 at 7 PM and continuing through April 14. The evening was conceived and is directed by Tony Award winner Scott Wittman with musical direction by Joseph Thalken, orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick and dialogue by Jeffrey Richman

LuPone, according to press notes, "performs an eclectic collection of torch songs by such composers and lyricists as Arthur Schwartz, Howard Dietz, Jule Styne, Sammy Cahn, Billy Barnes, Harold Arlen, George and Ira Gershwin, and Cole Porter."

LuPone is a Tony Award winner for her performances in Evita and Gypsy and an Olivier winner for her work in Les Miserables and The Cradle Will Rock. Read more about the award-winning artist's career in the Playbill Vault.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public Feb. 16.
