Nick Cearley Brings Buyer & Cellar to Bucks County | Playbill

News Nick Cearley Brings Buyer & Cellar to Bucks County Actor-musician Nick Cearley, one half of the stripped-down musical duo The Skivvies, will reprise his performance in Jonathan Tolins’ one-man comedy.

The solo play, acclaimed by critics when it premiered Off-Broadway in 2013, centers on an out-of-work actor who winds up finding a job working in Barbra Streisand's basement.

The Bucks County Playhouse production is directed by Sarna Lapine. Performances run November 5-26. It is produced by Robyn Goodman, Alexander Fraser, Stephen Kocis, and Josh Fiedler.

“In Buyer & Cellar,” according to Bucks County, “Alex More has a story to tell. A struggling actor in L.A., he takes a job working in the Malibu basement of a beloved megastar. One day, the Lady Herself comes downstairs to play. It feels like real bonding in the basement, but will their relationship ever make it upstairs? “Buyer and Cellar” is an outrageous comedy about the price of fame, the cost of things, and the oddest of odd jobs.”

Cearley's credits also include Little Shop of Horrors, Pageant, All Shook Up, Next to Normal, ...And Then I Wrote a Song About It, The Rocky Horror Show and A Midsummer Night's Dream Off-Broadway for Masterworks Classic Theatre Company.
