A revival of Noël Coward’s classic comedy Present Laughter opened at London’s Old Vic theatre June 25, starring Andrew Scott (Fleabag's "Hot Priest"). The Sherlock star plays Garry Essendine, an actor who faces a series of almost-farcical events as he endures a midlife crisis. The Olivier winner has appeared on Broadway in The Vertical Hour and in the West End in Hamlet.
Also starring are Olivier winner Sophie Thompson (Guys & Dolls), Luke Thallon (The Inheritance), Suzie Toase (One Man, Two Guvnors), and Indira Varma (Luther).
Present Laughter is directed by Matthew Warchus and scheduled to run through August 10.
