Funny Girl's Ephie Aardema is starring in the new show with music and lyrics by Sharon Kenny.

New musical Normal Teenage Girl will receive an industry reading at MTC Studios in New York City October 20, with performances at 1 and 4 PM. The new work features music and lyrics by Sharon Kenny and a book by Kenny and Nick Corley.

Leading the cast will be Ephie Aardema (Funny Girl), Daniel Quadrino (Wicked), Leah Hocking (The Last Ship), Elena Shaddow (The Visit), and Angela Travino (Suffs), alongside Mikako Martin (Miss Saigon), Melissa Lynne Jones (A Chorus Line), and Cara Rose DiPietro (Catch Me If You Can).

Based on a true story, the musical centers on a teenage runaway working to get her regular life back. Robin Skye and Goodwill Theatre Inc. are presenting the reading of the show, which was previously developed in readings at NY's Institute for American Musical Theatre.

Adam Laird is music directing, with stage directions read by Caden Brauch and Sydney Scott. Michael Moore Agency is representing the show.
