The new musical, directed by Eric Rosen, artistic director of KC Rep, features Broadway actors F. Michael Haynie (Wicked) and Curt Hansen (Hairspray, Next to Normal) and is staged inside the Spencer Theatre Scene Shop through May 24. Music is by Joe's Pet Project.

Stillwater is billed as an "angst-filled love letter to a generation." It weaves the stories of two love triangles or six twenty-somethings: a drug dealer, his recovering addict ex-girlfriend and the neighbor who is infatuated with her; along with a musician on the brink of stardom, his unfaithful girlfriend and her one-night-stand.

The ensemble cast also features David George, Shanna Jones, Ryan McCall and Emily Shackelford; as well as Midwestern band Joe's Pet Project, consisting of band members Tysen, Lance Gilchrist, Jason Hammond, John Hobson and Ryan McCall.
