Full casting has been unveiled for Off-Broadway's upcoming The Big Gay Jamboree, set to begin performances at the Orpheum Theatre September 14 ahead of an October 1 opening night. The new work comes from Titaníque co-writer Marla Mindelle, who is also starring.

Joining her in the cast will be Alex Moffat as Keith, Paris Nix as Clarence, Constantine Rousouli as Bert, and Natalie Walker as Flora. The ensemble will include Jaden Dominique, Brad Greer, Jeremiah Ginn, Amanda Lee, Jillian Mueller, Olivia Puckett, Melvin Tunstall, Clyde Voce, Cortney Wolfson, and John Yi.

The work features a book by Mindelle and Jonathan Parks-Ramage and a score by Mindelle and Philip Drennen. Mindelle is starring as Stacey, a woman who wakes up after a night of heavy drinking and finds herself trapped in an Off-Broadway Golden Age musical. Forced to put her musical theatre degree in action, Stacey has to figure out how to escape this singing and dancing prison in front of a live audience.

Conor Gallagher is directing and choreographing, leading a creative team that also includes scenic designer dots, costume designer Sarah Cubbage, lighting designer Brian Tovar, sound designer Justin Stasiw, projection designer Aaron Rhyne, and hair and wig designer Leah J. Loukas. David Dabbon will provide musical supervision and arrangements. Casting is by Stephen Kopel.

Sue Wagner, John Johnson, and LuckyChap are producing. LuckyChap, a production company founded by Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara, and Sophia Kerr, previously was developing the project with Mindelle for the screen. The Barbie producers announced the project in 2019.

"Few things have given us greater hope in the future of the American theatre than the recent renaissance we’ve seen happen downtown," said Wagner and Johnson in an earlier joint statement. "We’re excited to bring Marla back to Off-Broadway audiences, and welcome LuckyChap into the theatrical fray."

"We’ve been admiring Marla Mindelle’s work for quite some time and our adoration only grew when we were blown away by Titaníque," added LuckyChap. "We knew that we wanted to be a part of bringing Marla’s The Big Gay Jamboree to the stage. We’ve been wanting to find a way into the theatre space and couldn’t be more thrilled for this to be our first foray alongside the incredible team involved."
