News Musical-Theatre Themed Sing Out, Louise! to Play Upright Citizens Brigade Theater The musical sketch-comedy Sing Out, Louise! will play the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Oct. 28 at 8 PM and Nov. 29 at 9:30 PM.

Penned by Rachel Bloom with music by Michael Maricondi, the production is directed by UCB company members Caitlin Tegart and Timothy Dunn. The cast features Bloom, Dunn, Danny Jolles and Josh Ramos.

Writer-actress Bloom told Playbill.com, "The structure of the show is a fictitious cable access show called 'Sing Out, Louise!' hosted from Times Square by myself and another cast member. In between the live musical numbers, there are hosting bits that are in themselves sketches."

The show, Bloom adds, "uses musical theatre as a jumping-off point for comedy ideas [and] satirizes musical theatre and its stars."

The films seen in the show are directed by Jeff Eckman; a video segment also features an interview with The Addams Family's Jackie Hoffman.

Bloom and Maricondi previously collaborated on the touring children's musical When Push Comes to Shove. Sing Out, Louise! is not recommended for children. Tickets are priced five dollars. For more information, visit ucbtheater.com.
