Tony nominee Melissa Errico will perform in Formidable! Aznavour January 13, a centennial celebration concert honoring the late French-Armenian singer, songwriter, and actor Charles Aznavour. The one-night-only performance at NYC's Town Hall will kick off the world tour of the concert, which will next play Europe.
Errico will be joined onstage by Jules Grison. Conceived and directed by Gil Marsalla, the concert received approval from Aznavour prior to his passing several years ago.
Errico recently performed in French at the Montreal Jazz Festival, singing a bilingual half-hour show when she opened for George Benson.
"A love of French songs is one of my abiding passions, since my many musical times with Michel Legrand—so what could be a better gift to an American 'chanteuse' than a chance to sing Aznavour?" said Errico in a statement.
A Tony nominee for her performance in Amour, Errico has also been seen on Broadway in Anna Karenina, My Fair Lady, High Society, Dracula the Musical, and Irving Berlin's White Christmas.
The concert will begin at 7:30 PM. For tickets and more information, click here.
