The Maui Ikaika (Maui Strong) benefit concert plays Open Jar Studios October 8, and will stream live free of charge.
Presented by Hālau Hula O Nā Mele `Āina O Hawai`i / Hula New York, the event will immerse the audience in the culture of the island, which recently experienced devastating wildfires.
The evening, hosted by Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida), will include hula and mele performances, as well performances and appearances by J. Harrison Ghee, Will Swenson, and Danny Burstein.
Viewers will be encouraged to donate to their choice of Maui recovery organizations. Proceeds will benefit the Maui communities and families affected by the recent fires.
