Los Angeles News Mary-Louise Parker and Denis Arndt Open Heisenberg in Los Angeles July 6 The Broadway production of Simon Stephens’ play officially opens July 6 as part of the Center Theatre Group’s 50th anniversary season.

Manhattan Theatre Club’s production of Tony and Olivier winner Simon StephensHeisenberg, seen on Broadway in fall 2016, officially opens in Los Angeles July 6 after beginning previews June 28 at the Center Theatre Group.

Performances are scheduled to run through August 6 at the Mark Taper Forum.

Tony winner Mary-Louise Parker and Denis Arndt, who starred on Broadway, re-create their roles under the direction of Drama Desk winner Mark Brokaw.

Amidst the bustle of a crowded London train station, “Georgie (Parker) spots Alex (Arndt), a much older man, and plants a kiss on his neck. This electric encounter thrusts these two strangers into a fascinating and life-changing game,” according to CTG.

The creative team includes scenic designer Mark Wendland, costume designer Michael Krass, lighting designer Austin R. Smith, and sound designer David Van Tieghem.

Heisenberg was commissioned by Manhattan Theatre Club and received its Off-Broadway world premiere in the summer of 2015 as part of The Studio at Stage II – Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series, MTC's initiative to bring bold new work to audiences. It subsequently transferred to MTC's Broadway venue, the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, in 2016.
