Broadway alums Mallory Portnoy (Oklahoma!) and Nick Blaemire (Godspell) re-create the legendary revue A Party With Betty Comden & Adolph Green for two performances at Café Carlyle March 3 and 4. The performances see Portnoy and Blaemire bringing the iconic writing duo back to life for the second time after appearing as them briefly in the Oscar-nominated Leonard Bernstein biopic Maestro.

Maggie Burrows is directing, with Portnoy and Blaemire backed by music director Marco Paguia on piano.

The revue was first performed Off-Broadway in 1958, transferring to Broadway later the same year. The show featured Comden and Green telling stories from their illustrious career and singing the songs they co-wrote (as lyricists) with such composers as Leonard Bernstein, Jule Styne, André Previn, and more. The duo brought a revised version of the show back to Broadway in 1977 and then took the show on the road. In 1980, a filmed performance from East Hampton, New York, aired on the PBS series Summershow.

Guests at the new staging, who are encouraged to attend in "late '50s cocktail party" attire, will enjoy a two-course meal before or during the performance, with seatings available at 6:30, 7, and 8:45 PM. Tickets are available at ExploreTock.com.

Rick Miramontez is producing.
