The new musical Golden will have a concert presentation December 6 at 7:00 PM at Green Room 42. Madsie Flynn directs, with music direction by Robert Frost.
The cast includes Major Attaway (Aladdin), Bryonha Marie (Prince of Broadway), and Kevin Massey (Wicked). Additional casting is to be announced.
Golden features a music and lyrics by John Hodges and Geordy Wells, and a book by Francesca Peppiatt and Whit Cook. The musical, a contemporary reimagining of The Brothers' Grimm's Rumplestiltskin, follows 19 year-old Alexa as she tries to save her kingdom and reconcile the grief of her past.
The creative team also includes production stage manager Kara Kaufman. Mat Lipscomb produces, with Nathan Gehan and Jamison Scott as executive producers. ShowTown Theatricals is the general manager.
