In 1981, two-time Academy Award-winning film star Elizabeth Taylor made her anticipated Broadway debut in a revival of Lillian Hellman’s The Little Foxes at the Martin Beck Theatre (now the Al Hirschfeld Theatre).

Taylor starred as Regina Giddens opposite Maureen Stapleton as Birdie Hubbard. Both received Tony Award nominations for their performances.

The show now returns to Broadway for the fifth time, starring Laura Linney and Cynthia Nixon, who alternate as Regina and Birdie at different performances. The Little Foxes opens April 19 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.
