PBS' Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr. will focus its attention on two Tony winners February 22.
The host investigates the family histories of Broadway favorites Leslie Odom, Jr. and Nathan Lane, discovering the ancestors whose struggles laid the groundwork for their success.

Nathan Lane
Nathan Lane has received six Tony nominations for his work on Broadway, winning three times for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Producers, and Angels in America. He has received six Drama Desk Awards, six Outer Critics Circle Awards, two Obies, the Lucille Lortel Award, the Drama League Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theatre, the Drama League Award for Distinguished Performance for The Nance, the Theatre World John Willis Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre, the Eugene O'Neill Monte Cristo Award, the New Dramatists Career Achievement Award, the Sir Peter Ustinov Comedy Award, and the Laurence Olivier Award.
Leslie Odom, Jr. won his Tony for playing Aaron Burr in the international phenomenon Hamilton. In 2020 he became an Academy Award nominee for his performance as Sam Cooke in One Night in Miami... He hosted The Tony Awards Present: Broadway's Back! in 2021, and will appear in the upcoming film Knives Out 2, the sequel to the 2019 murder mystery film by Rian Johnson.
