General News Lesli Margherita to Recur on 3 TV Series The busy star of Broadway’s Matilda and Dames at Sea will be seen on Homeland and more.

Lesli Margherita, co-star of Broadway’s Matilda and Dames at Sea, as well as numerous cabaret and concert bookings in the last few months, continues her busy pace, landing recurring roles on three TV dramas this season.

She is scheduled to reprise the role of Sharon that she created last season on the Showtime series Homeland, which stars Tony Award winner Mandy Patinkin and Claire Danes, among others.

Margherita, who won an Olivier Award for her performance as Inez in London’s Zorro the Musical, and who created the role of Esmeralda in the tryout of stage adaptation of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, will also have a recurring role on CBS drama Instinct opposite Tony Award winner Alan Cumming

Debuting over the winter will be the Netflix crime drama Seven Seconds starring David Lyons, Regina King and Russell Hornsby, in which she will also be featured.

Margherita has previously appeared in numerous TV series including Fame L.A., NYPD Blue, The District, JAG, Charmed, The King of Queens, Chicago Hope, and On The Lot, produced by Steven Spielberg.

Margherita hasn't turned her back on the stage. She is scheduled to appear November 6 in the Election Eve cabaret show Women Rock (the Vote!) Celebrating 100 Years of Women Voting in New York at Feinstein’s/54 Below in Manhattan. Click here for more information. She has been a regular at the theatre disctrict supper club, having appearing in a showcase of the musical A Scythe of Time October 26, and in her own club show, Rule Your Kingdom, in August.

Margherita will next star later this month as a grown up Cindy-Lou Who in Matthew Lombardo’s Dr. Seuss-themed Off-Broadway show Who’s Holiday! directed by Carl Andress at the Westside Theater.
