Jordan Dobson and George Salazar will join Tony nominees Derek Klena and Colton Ryan in Keen Company's upcoming benefit concert of Glory Days. The Off-Broadway company is staging Nick Blaemire and James Gardiner's short-lived beloved musical for one night only February 12. Directed by Jonathan Silverstein, the concert will feature new simplified arrangements by Van Hughes.

Dobson is a rising Broadway star, appearing in Hadestown, Bad Cinderella, A Beautiful Noise, and West Side Story in the last four years. Salazar netted major attention as Michael in the cult classic musical Be More Chill, and has recently been thriving in regional theatre, starring in Little Shop of Horrors at Pasadena Playhouse, The Untitled Unauthorized Hunter S. Thompson Musical at La Jolla Playhouse, and Broadway Bounty Hunter at Barrington Stage.

Premiering on Broadway in 2008, Glory Days tells the story of four high school friends who reunite one year after graduation to enact revenge on their former bullies. Though the work has since become a cult favorite, the Broadway bow famously closed on opening night, playing just 17 previews and one single performance.

Said Blaemire and Gardiner, “We’re so excited to be taking another look at Glory Days. When we started writing it, back in high school, 20 years ago...!, we envisioned a simple show like The Fantasticks, Suburbia, or Our Town—one we could produce with just a band and a bench. Keen Company excels at that kind of intimate storytelling. We're lucky to have four of the most exciting actors and singers in New York. Symphony Space is a legendary venue. So it's an honor to introduce this show to the next generation with these wonderful collaborators.”

Featuring music direction by Lily Ling, the benefit concert will underwrite Keen Company's 24th season, including Kia Corthron’s Fish, a new musical by Adam Gwon, resources for mid-career writers, and free mentorship for students in all five boroughs of NYC.
