Per Deadline, Lucas Hnath (Dana H)'s new drama The Dealer, starring Oscar winner Jessica Chastain and Oscar nominee Adam Driver, has received a series order for Apple TV+.
Written by Hnath, the series will be set in the pressurized world of high-end art dealing. The project reunites Hnath with his A Doll’s House, Part 2 director, Sam Gold, as well as dramaturg Sarah Lunnie.
Chastain will reportedly play an aspiring super gallerist with a tangled relationship with a gifted but unpredictable artist played by Driver.
Information on the show's release and rollout is forthcoming. The series is executive produced by Hnath, Gold, Lunnie, Chastain, Driver, Michael Ellenberg, and Lindsey Springer for Media Res; and Kelly Carmichael for Freckle Films, with Alan Poul and Arianna Anderson as co-executive producers.
