Twelve actors will lend their impassioned voices to a one-night-only, all-female reading of Reginald Rose's 1954 play Twelve Angry Men in September with the mission of raising awareness around the November Midterm Elections.

The event, produced by Lauren Class Schneider, will provide an opportunity for people to update their voter registration, as well as information on how to increase voter registration and turnout.

The performance will take place September 16 at Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row at 8 PM. For tickets, click here.

The cast will include Tony winner Cady Huffman; Tony nominees Ariana DeBose (Summer), Geneva Carr (Hand to God), and Jenn Colella (Come From Away); Lynn Cohen (The Hunger Games, Chasing Manet); Amber Iman (Shuffle Along); Chilina Kennedy (Beautiful); Caitlin Kinnunen, who will soon return to Broadway in The Prom; Jill Paice (An American in Paris); and Dale Soules (Hands on Hardbody).

Additional casting will be announced soon.

In Twelve Angry Men, 11 jurors are convinced of an accused murderer's guilt, but one holdout convinces them to look at their consciences and prejudices.

While written in 1954, the play only debuted on Broadway in a production from Roundabout Theatre Company in 2004 starring an all-male cast. In past productions featuring female actors, the play has been titled Twelve Angry Jurors.
