Works from Hermitage Major Theater Award winners Madeleine George and Shariffa Ali will be presented later this month.

Commissioned works from the Hermitage Major Theater Award will be presented by Off-Broadway's MCC Theater with a set of industry presentations planned for November 17 and 20.

Up first will be Madeleine George's The Sore Loser, presented November 17 at 4 PM. The comedy will feature a cast including Adam Chanler-Berat, Lynda Gravatt, Allison Guinn, Greg Hildreth, James Jackson Jr., Matthew Maher, T Mitsock, Shannon Tyo, and Joel Van Liew.

Shariffa Ali's Hero is getting an in-process presentation November 20 at 4 PM. The work is a newly devised piece.

George and Ali are the first and second (respectively) winners of the Hermitage Major Theater Award, which comes with a $35,000 commission to create an original work. The award also includes residency at the Hermitage's Florida campus and a NYC workshop for the piece.

Both presentations will have invite-only audiences.
