The national touring company of the Broadway musical Hamilton has added two more cities to its planned itinerary, San Diego, CA, and Charlotte, NC, at dates TBA in the 2017-18 season.

As previously announced, Hamilton will stop at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

Specific engagement dates and information on how to purchase group and single tickets will be announced at a later date.

The Kennedy Center recommends that the best way to guarantee tickets to Hamilton is to purchase a full season subscription for the 2016-17 theatre season. New or renewing subscribers of the 2016–17 theatre season will be first in line for seats in the 2017–18 Broadway series, which includes tickets to the premiere Washington, DC, engagement of Hamilton. 2016-17 theatre subscriptions are available for purchase at kennedy-center.org/subscribe.

Hamilton is the winner of the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and is up for a record-breaking 16 Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical. With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.

Casting for the national tour has not yet been announced, but the Broadway creative team will recreate designs for the tour.

The national touring company will launch at San Francisco's SHN Orpheum Theatre in March 2017, where it will play for 21 weeks before moving on to the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles August 11-December 30.

The Hamilton tour has also been announced to stop at dates to be announced in:

Atlanta / Fox Theatre
Boston / Boston Opera House
Charlotte, NC / Blumenthal Performing Arts
Costa Mesa, CA / Segerstrom Center For the Arts
Des Moines, IA / Des Moines Performing Arts
Houston / Hobby Center
Las Vegas / The Smith Center
Portland, OR / Keller Auditorium
San Diego/Civic Theatre
Seattle / The Paramount
Tempe, AZ / ASU Gammage

Further stops on the tour are yet to be announced.

Two other productions of the hit musical are planned outside New York.

A “sit down” production is scheduled to open at the PrivateBank Theatre in Chicago beginning September 27, 2016, for at least a year. It will be separate from the national tour.

A London production has been reported, but not confirmed, to open at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London in 2017.
