London News Gwyneth Paltrow Ski-Trial Musical I Wish You Well Sets West End Transfer

Inspired by the headline-making 2023 Hollywood court case, the musical made its premiere at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Straight from Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Gwyneth Paltrow ski-trial musical I Wish You Well has set a West End transfer. Performances will begin at the Criterion Theatre September 11 and will continue through October 12.

The full cast from the Fringe debut will reprise their performances at the London venue, including Diana Vickers as Gwyneth, Marc Antolin as Terry, Tori Allen-Martin as Kristin, and Idriss Kargbo as Judge Jude.

The work, featuring music and lyrics by Rick Pearson and a book and additional lyrics by Roger Dipper, centers on the campy trial between Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow and Terry, the skier she allegedly crashed into on the slopes (spoiler alert: Paltrow came out of the legal action victorious, after the trial made lots of headlines).

The musical is actually one of two based on the infamous event at Fringe this year, standing alongside Gwyneth Goes Skiing.

Directed by Shiv Rabheru, the production also features choreography by Arlene Phillips, music direction by Debbi Clarke, scenic and costume design by David Shield, lighting design by Alex Lewer, sound design by Dan Samson, and casting by Seth Mason. Ben Lockwood originally commissioned the piece.

Tickets are available at Criterion-Theatre.co.uk.
