The company is led by Jackson (Grown-ish) as Uncle Dipsey, Tony nominee Joshua Henry (Carousel) as William, Tracee Beazer (Frozen) as Carole, acclaimed tap dancer Fleming Jr. as Daddy Bates, Shahadi Wright Joseph (Us) as Emma, Chance K. Smith as Winslow, Walker (The Lion King) as Ginnie, and Bello (Caroline, or Change) as Willie.

Nominated for seven 1984 Tony Awards, the musical tells the story of Willie, a 10-year-old boy from an upper-middle-class Black family, who dreams of becoming a professional tap dancer.
