Times may be hard, but there is still joy to be found, even after a long week. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a moment of emotional release. Welcome to Playbill's Feel Good Friday feature.
This week, we're turning to the wise counsel of musical theatre legend Mandy Patinkin for some tuneful advice. The Tony-winning singer shared a video of himself singing a mashup of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "You've Got to Be Carefully Taught" from South Pacific and Sondheim's "Children Will Listen" from Into the Woods.
In the YouTube caption, Patinkin says, "From two songs that are so powerful to me in these times." See his heartfelt performance in the video above.
Patinkin has several concert dates across the U.S. planned this spring. Check out his tour schedule here. Or check him out in the new Hulu original series Death and Other Details, in which he plays "the world's greatest detective." More information on that show and other January streaming releases can be found in our streaming guide here.
