Tony Award-winning Once director John Tiffany will direct the New York premiere of The Ambassador, which will run Dec. 10-13 in the Harvey Theatre. The production features set design by Tony Award winner Christine Jones (Spring Awakening, Queen of the Night, Theatre for One), lighting design by Jane Cox, video design by Josh Higgason and sound effects by Bart Fasbender.

A follow up to "The Ambassador," the "Haircuts & Airports" EP is a continuation of Kahane's musical exploration of Los Angeles. It is available as a free download for a limited time at Playbill.com starting on Oct. 31. On Nov. 4 it will be available for purchase at iTunes and all other digital outlets via Sony Masterworks.

Songs from "Haircuts & Airports" are featured in the theatrical stage version of The Ambassador. According to Sony Masterworks, "The EP contains three new songs linked to architectural landmarks in the city of Los Angeles - including LAX and The Westin Bonaventure Hotel, as well as a cover of the Jerome Kern/Oscar Hammerstein II classic gem, 'The Folks Who Live on the Hill,' which Gabriel sees as an expression of the post-war optimism that drove architectural innovation in Los Angeles in the 1940s and 50s. The EP also includes the haunting track 'Veda (1 Pierce Dr.)' which appears on The Ambassador."

The Ambassador had its world premiere Oct. 22 at Carolina Performing Arts. Following the BAM engagement, the production will play Los Angeles' Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA Feb. 27-28, 2015. Kahane's musical February House was presented at the Public Theater in 2012.

The Ambassador features Kahane (vocals, guitar, piano, Wurlitzer), Rob Moose (electric guitars), Casey Foubert (bass, electric guitars), Ted Poor (drums), Alex Sopp (vocals, keyboards, flutes), as well as string players Laura Lutzke, Nathan Schram and Gabriel Cabezas.
