The "hyper-intimate" production of Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, performed at a private loft in NYC's Flatiron District, returns August 8-25, again helmed by Jack Serio (This Beautiful Future).
Tony winner David Cromer reprises the leading role of Vanya, again joined by Will Brill as Astrov, Julia Chan as
Yelena, Will Dagger as Telegin, Tony nominee Marin Ireland as Sonya, Ann
McDonough as Maria, and Virginia Wing as Marina.
Joining the cast for the return engagement are two-time Drama Desk winner Thomas Jay Ryan (West Side Story, Dance Nation)
as Serebryakov plus Dario Ladani Sanchez as Yefim and understudy for
Astrov/Telegin, Raquel Chavez as the understudy for Sonya/Yelena/Yefim,
Nat DeWolf as the understudy for Vanya/Serebryakov, and Barbara Kingsley
as the understudy for Maria/Marina.
The production, which uses a translation by Paul Schmidt, features
scenic design by Walt Spangler, lighting design by Stacey Derosier,
costume design by Ricky Reynoso, sound design by Christopher Darbassie,
and props design by Carrie Mossman. Casting is by Taylor Williams.
Richard A. Hodge is the stage manager, Nathan Malin is the assistant
stage manager, and Wagner Johnson Productions serves as general
manager.
Ticket holders receive an exact address of the Flatiron District loft where performances are being mounted at least 24 hours in advance of their performance. Rush tickets will be available via TodayTix while a partnership between the production and Broadway For All will offer students subsidized tickets, which can be supported via a "Buy One, Give One" initiative by ticket buyers.
