Songbook Sundays, the concert series created and hosted by Deborah Grace Winer that celebrates the American Songbook, continues at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Dizzy’s Club January 21 with a celebration of Tony winner Frank Loesser.

Entitled Baby, It’s Frank Loesser, performances are scheduled for 5 PM and 7:30 PM. Interpreting the work of the late composer-lyricist are Tony nominee Emily Skinner (Side Show, The Cher Show), Matthew Scott (An American in Paris, Sondheim on Sondheim), and JALC rising star Ekep Nkwelle.

Music director Joe Davidian leads a band that features Mark Lewandowski on bass, Maria Marmarou on drums, and Daniel Cohen on saxophone.

Loesser is best known for the Broadway musicals Guys and Dolls, The Most Happy Fella, and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Attendees can expect to hear such tunes as "Let’s Get Lost," "What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve," "Somebody Somewhere," and more.

Both performances will also be live streamed on JALCs JazzLive app. Visit Jazz.org/Dizzys.
