House of Life

Edinburgh Fringe hit—and Playbill Pick—House of Life is ready to bring its gospel of self-love and glittery fabulousness worldwide. The show, which is preparing for a London run at Soho Theatre May 26-31, will embark on an international tour, including performances in New York City.

The show's NYC performances will be held at 3 Dollar Bill in Brooklyn June 20, and Manhattan's BATSU! June 22.

The tour kicks off with performances in Oslo April 25-26, followed by several London runs. After the Soho Theatre run, the show will head to Brixton House July 2-4, Wilton's Music Hall July 10, and Park Theatre July 18-19, followed by performances at the Latitude Festival in Suffolk.

Led by Ben Welch as RaveRend, House of Life has one mission: to help everyone in its audience achieve happiness by any means. Joined by loyal sidekick Trev, RaveRend leads his flock though his eight-step guide to happiness, complete with lots of music, jokes, and glitter. Many of the performance's songs are written on the spot based on audience interactions, making each performance unique.

“We can't quite believe that we are now going to be spreading the glittery vibes around the world in London, Oslo, and New York," says Welch in a statement. "We originally made this show to bring people together while the world felt like it was falling apart so this is more than a tour—it’s a pilgrimage to ultimate happiness where everyone is welcome, where the beats bind us, the bass lifts us, and unity fuels the movement. The house is going global—let’s ascend together!”
