Off-Broadway News Dog Man: The Musical Will Play Limited Off-Broadway Return Engagement

Some Like It Hot star Kevin Del Aguila penned the book and lyrics with music by Brad Alexander.

TheaterWorksUSA will bring Dog Man: The Musical back to New York beginning March 4 at New World Stages, where the kid-friendly production will continue through April 30. Opening night Off-Broadway is set for March 13.

Based on Dav Pilkey's bestselling Dog Man book series, the musical has an original book and lyrics by Kevin Del Aguila—currently playing Osgood in Broadway's Some Like It Hotand music by Brad Alexander (See Rock City & Other Destinations) with orchestrations by Lloyd Kikoler.

Jen Wineman will direct and choreograph the limited engagement with casting to be announced.

Dog Man chronicles a canine superhero who loves to fight crime and chew on the furniture. But while trying his best to be a good boy, can he save the city from Flippy the cyborg fish and his army of Beasty Buildings?

The musical debuted as part of TWUSA’s Family Summer Theater program in 2019.
