The album will be released digitally and in stores May 19. Theatregoers attending Fun Home on Broadway will have the opportunity to purchase the album beginning May 5 at Circle in the Square. It will also be available for purchase from PSClassics.com on the latter date.
The recording will feature Off-Broadway closing cast member Emily Skeggs, who took over the role of Medium Alison, and repeats her work on Broadway. She succeeded original cast member Alexandra Socha in the role.
Additional music not included on the world-premiere recording, as well as new material written for the Broadway production, will be incorporated into the new release that will feature fresh production art and photos from the show's uptown transfer.

Reached for comment April 10, Krasker told Playbill.com, "There was certainly material that we were eager to see recorded. There were also things that we didn't get around to recording last time, that we felt in hindsight, we really wanted on the album."
Many members of the original Public Theater cast return for the uptown transfer, including stars Beth Malone, Judy Kuhn, Sydney Lucas and Michael Cerveris. Fun Home has music by Tony Award nominee Jeanine Tesori (Caroline, Or Change; Shrek) and book and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Lisa Kron (Well).
This isn't the first time a PS Classics cast album was freshened up for Broadway. The label also returned to the recording studio to update the original Off-Broadway cast album of Grey Gardens when the acclaimed musical transferred to Broadway with additional material and new cast members.
