Tony winners Dee Dee Bridgewater and Savion Glover debut their new collaboration, Interpretations, November 12 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Featuring the vocals of Bridgewater and the tap dancing of Glover, show times are 3 PM and 7:30 PM. Audiences can expect a mix of jazz, dance, and improvisation.
Bridgewater won a Tony for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical in 1975 for The Wiz. Dancer/choreographer Glover won a Tony for Best Choreography in 1996 for Bring in ‘da Noise/Bring in 'da Funk. He was also Tony-nominated for his performances in Bring in ‘da Noise/Bring in 'da Funk and Black and Blue, and for his choreography for Shuffle Along…
The evening was hosted by Rachel Dratch and Julianne Hough, and featured performances from Betsy Wolfe, Jordan Donica, Abby Mueller, and Stephanie D'Abruzzo.
