Fans of Six who can’t witness the musical live (yet) can at least watch coverage from afar, including the queens' visits to local morning shows.
Anna Uzele, who plays Catherine Parr in the Brit-born show, was interviewed by WGN-9 Chicago this week before the entire cast of performed the closing number "Megasix."
“We all know the story of Henry VIII. but this is their turn to band together and actually tell the herstory that happened,” Uzele said. Watch the entire video below.
The musical has gained popularity thanks to the show’s history lessons through a female lens. Earlier this week, the London cast of Six performed the show’s opening number on Britain’s Got Talent. The Chicago production was recently extended through August 4; the musical will go on to play the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Edelstein will directs a cast of 30, with nearly 1,000 San Diegans participating directly in the milestone production that will mark the completion of the Bard’s canon at the venue.
