Photos Celebrate Black History Month at Little Shop of Horrors With These Exclusive Photos

The hit Off-Broadway production will host a Black Theater Night February 5.

Black History Month is underway, and the Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors is celebrating. In a series of exclusive photos for Playbill, the Black members of the cast posed for portraits on the show's set at the Westside Theatre. The show is currently led by Nicholas Christopher as Seymour and Major Attaway as Audrey II (Christopher is set to star in the show until February 23).

Other cast members pictured include Savannah Lee Birdsong, Christine Wanda, Laura Temples, Melissa Victor, Noel MacNeal, Tiffany Renee Thompson, Morgan Ashley Bryant, Daria Pilar Redus, and Camryn Hampton. The Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop began previews September 17, 2019, prior to an official opening October 17; the production resumed its run September 21, 2021, after temporarily closing in March 2020 due to the pandemic.

Director Michael Mayer's creative team for the Howard Ashman-Alan Menken musical also includes choreographer Ellenore Scott, scenic designer Julian Crouch, lighting designer Bradley King, costume designer Tom Broecker, sound designer Jessica Paz, puppet designer Nicholas Mahon, original puppet designer Martin P. Robinson, hair and makeup designer Tommy Kurzman, music supervisor, orchestrator, and arranger Will Van Dyke, and casting director Jim Carnahan. Puppets are by Monkey Boys Productions.

General management is by Live Wire Theatrical/Chris Aniello, and production stage management is by Pamela Remler.
