Off-Broadway News Cast Set for Theatre East’s Season Opener, Petie Lori Fischer’s drama will play Off-Broadway’s Urban Stages.

Casting has been announced for Theatre East’s 2017–2018 season opener, Lori Fischer's Petie, which will be presented September 22–October 7 at Urban Stages, 259 West 30th Street (between 7th and 8th Avenues.).

The cast will feature Zachary Clark as Rick, Lori Fischer as Bonnie, Arielle Goldman as Jesse, Judson Jones as Daddy, Grayson Taylor as Petie, and Emily Verla as KM. Martha Banta will direct.

The play concerns an agoraphobic who “travels the rough terrain of guilt and loss as a mother struggles to hide key details about her son’s death from her estranged daughter,” according to production notes.

Playwright Fischer is a 2008 New York University Harry Kondoleon Graduate Award recipient in Playwriting and a 2008-2009 Dramatists Guild Fellow.

The creative team includes production manager Libby Jensen, scenic designer Steven Brenman, lighting designer Zach Murphy, costume designer Sherry Martinez, sound designer and composer M. Florian Staab, production stage manager Cath Shelton, and assistant director Christa Kimlicko Jones.
