Casting is now complete for Ivo van Hove’s stage adaptation of the 1950 film All About Eve, which will begin a 14-week run at London's Noël Coward Theatre February 2 prior to an official opening February 12.
As previously reported, Emmy Award winner Gillian Anderson (The X-Files, The Fall, A Streetcar Named Desire) will star as Margo Channing opposite Lily James (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Downton Abbey, Cinderella) as Eve Harrington with Julian Ovenden as Bill, BAFTA Award winner Monica Dolan as Karen, Sheila Reid as Birdie, Rhashan Stone as Lloyd, Stanley Townsend (Glengarry Glen Ross, Girl from the North Country) as Broadway theatre critic Addison DeWitt, Ian Drysdale (Network, Henry V) as Max Fabian, Tsion Habte as Phoebe, Charles Hagerty as Waiter, Grace Stone in the ensemble, and Philip Voyzey as the Pianist.
Newly announced for the production are Jessie Mei Li in the role of Claudia Casswell with Merric Boyd, Fejiro Emasiobi, Chanelle Modi, Stuart Nunn, Phillipa Peak, and Michael Warburton joining the ensemble.
The production will feature set and lighting design by Jan Versweyveld, costume design by An D’Huys, sound design by Tom Gibbons, and music from PJ Harvey. Casting is by Julia Horan CDG.
Performances are currently scheduled through May 11.

The Oscar-winning film was written and directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, based on Mary Orr's short story The Wisdom of Eve. The movie saw Bette Davis as Channing, the prominent Broadway star, and Anne Baxter as Harrington, a willingly helpful young fan who insinuates herself into Channing's life. The film was nominated for 14 Academy Awards and won six, including Best Picture.
