There will be a second performance Oct. 12 at 2 PM.
Patricia Birch choreographs dancers Kiva Dawson and Erin Moore with music from cellist Tamás Varga and pianist Peter Dugan. Michael Tilson Thomas will conduct.
The performances, according to press notes, feature, "groundbreaking selections by classical music revolutionaries," from Schoenberg to Stravinsky to, "Antheil’s inventive A Jazz Symphony, also inspired by Stravinsky, [which] comes alive in a newly created staged performance that encapsulates the easy-going Jazz Age, complete with dancers, projections and lighting."
