News Broadway’s Encounter Announces Digital Lottery Simon McBurney’s solo show will offer discount tickets online.

Simon McBurney’s Broadway solo show, The Encounter, is offering an online digital lottery for discount tickets starting October 18.

A limited number of tickets will be made available each day through the lottery, which will open at midnight the morning of the desired performance. It will close at 10 AM (ET) for matinee performances and at 3 PM for evening performances.

Tickets will cost $40 each, and winners can purchase one or two tickets. Winners will be notified by email and must visit the box office by no later than 30 minutes prior to curtain to purchase their tickets.

In addition to the digital lottery, The Encounter offers in-person general rush tickets, accepting both cash and credit at the John Golden Theatre box office (252 West 45th Street). The box office opens at 10 AM Tuesday-Saturday and noon on Sunday. Patrons can purchase one or two general rush tickets (subject to availability).

Full-price tickets can be ordered by calling Telecharge at (212) 239-6200, online by visiting Telecharge.com, or at the Golden Theatre box office. The production is being advertised as a limited engagement running “16 weeks only.”
