Broadway News Broadway Vaccination and Mask Requirements Extended Through April

Children ages 5-11 will soon need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Show Must Go On world premiere at the Majestic Theatre

The Broadway League has updated its vaccination and mask policies to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as cases and hospitalizations continue to rise due to the Omicron variant. The biggest change is that children ages 5-11 will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination, beginning January 29.

Previously, children between the ages of five and 11 needed to be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult and show proof of at least one dose of an FDA- or WHO-approved vaccine.

The current vaccination and mask policy for adults and children over the age of 12 will remain in effect through April 30, extended from February 28. This policy states theatregoers are required to show proof that they have had their second dose at least 14 days prior to the show. Audiences must also wear a mask for the duration of the performance.
