Broadway Shark Tank, a pitch program for new musicals that allows writers to present their original work to industry experts and potential backers, is seeking submissions for its fall presentation.

Submissions are open to all writing teams that have completed a first draft of their original musical/play, either in the concept phase or having previously received a full production. The submission deadline is September 10, and all teams will be notified of their selection status by September 18.

The autumn session, taking place at Open Jar Studios, will be held October 2 at 7 PM. If selected, each team will have eight minutes to describe the project and present one or two songs. Audience members will then be allowed to vote on their favorite pitch following feedback, with the group consensus pitch receiving free rehearsal space to develop their show. One audience member will also receive free membership to the Open Jar rehearsal studio.

Panel members consisting of prominent figures in the Broadway theatre industry will be announced at a later date.
