Betty Buckley, Matthew Morrison, Alex Joseph Grayson, Liz Callaway Celebrate Sondheim and Lloyd Webber March 28

A Broadway Birthday: Sondheim, Lloyd Webber, and Friends!, celebrating the March 22 birthdays of Andrew Lloyd Webber and the late Stephen Sondheim, is presented March 28 at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, California.

Interpreting the work of the Tony-winning composers are Tony winner Betty Buckley (Cats, Sunset Boulevard), Tony nominee Matthew Morrison (Hairspray, The Light in the Piazza), Tony nominee Liz Callaway (Baby, Miss Saigon), Alex Joseph Grayson (Parade), Aaron Lazar (The Last Ship), and Kerry O'Malley (Into the Woods). Show time is 8 PM.

Producer Scott Coulter directs with John Boswell on piano. Buckley will be accompanied by music director Christian Jacob on piano, Trey Henry on bass, and Ray Brinker on drums.

Sondheim's musicals include Sweeney Todd, Company, A Little Night Music, Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park With George, Assassins, Passion, Merrily We Roll Along, Follies, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Here We Are, and more.
