Broadway will be spending Thanksgiving Week with Tony Award winner Ben Vereen. Following a sold-old fall 2016 engagement at Feinstein’s/54 Below, Vereen will return to the New York cabaret November 21–25 with his solo show, Steppin’ Out With Ben Vereen.
The Tony Award-winning star of Broadway’s Pippin, plus Jesus Christ Superstar, Grind, Wicked, and other musicals, will perform a program of personal stories and songs from throughout his nearly half-century career. Performances are scheduled for November 21, 22, 24, and 25 at 7 PM; and November 23, Thanksgiving Day, at 8 PM.
Vereen recently appeared in the feature films Top Five and Time Out Of Mind, and played the role of Doctor Scott in Fox’s The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again. His earlier credits include All That Jazz, Sweet Charity, Funny Lady (Golden Globe nomination), Roots, and Ellis Island (Golden Globe nomination). Vereen is developing a Broadway-aimed solo show.
