Collectively titled Discover: New Musicals, this is the evening's lineup:

Flappers in Chains: "The story of two flappers who break into an abandoned theatre, but only one will survive the night." Book, music and lyrics by Marcus Yi, directed by Billy Bustamonte. Cast: Michelle Cabinian and Carol Angeli.

How Love Feels: "When the man in the moon enters the lives of a young and successful Upper West Side couple, they all begin to discover love isn't quite what they all thought it was." Book and lyrics by Marella Martin Koch, music by Jonathan Fadner, directed by Steven Eng, musical direction by Mark T. Evans. Cast: Kennedy Kanagawa, Lisa Helmi Johanson and Sam Simahk.

Let Her Kick: "Gaby kicks for the Barnesville High School football team, but can a girl play in the championship? Female athletes of the 1990s navigate this courtroom drama." Book and lyrics by Brandon Michael Lowden, music and musical direction by Minjoung Hwang, directed by Akane Ugaki, assistant director Makiko Shibuya. Cast: Lora Nicolas, Stephanie Mieko Cohen, Kimberly Chatterjee, Kendyl Ito, Colin Miyamoto, Eric Badique, Gerard Salvador and Olivia Braza.

Second Place: "Chef Bridget Samson is chasing after her dream of winning an international cooking title. What happens when ambition stops her from fully living her life?" Book and lyrics by Kate Chadwick, music by Edison Hong, directed by Nina Zoie Lam, musical direction by Darius Smith, stage management by Francis Eric Montesa. Cast: Loresa Lanceta, Garett Taketa, Austin Ku, Rebecca Larkin, Jensen Olaya, Viet Vo, Kavin Panmeechao and Hyemi Kim. Readings will begin at 7:30 PM at 304 West 47th Street.
