The Colorado company will present Steel Magnolias, Legally Blonde, and Come From Away this summer.

Theatre Aspen has revealed casting for its upcoming 41st summer season, which will include stagings of Steel MagnoliasLegally Blonde The Musical, and Come From Away.

Running June 17-29, Steel Magnolias will feature Claire Saunders (Sweeney Todd) as Shelby, Mary Bacon as M'Lynn, Valerie Wright (Tuck Everlasting) as Ouiser, Terry Burrell (Threepenny Opera) as Clairee, Aurelia Williams (Parade) as Truvy, and Sophia Gray as Annelle. Jenn Thompson is directing, and the production will feature scenic design by John McDermott, lighting design by Ardean Landhuis, costume design by Whitney Locher, wig design by J. Jared Janas, and sound design by Jane Shaw.

Running July 5-27, Kaitlyn Frank (Funny Girl) will lead Legally Blonde as Elle Woods, opposite Danny Kornfeld (Harmony) as Emmett, Jack Baylis as Warner, Amber Carson as Paulette, Sara Al-Bazali as Vivienne, Matt Bogart (Paradise Square) as Professor Callahan, Connor Lyon (1776) as Brooke, Cameron Anika Hill (Dear Evan Hansen) as Serena, Elisa Galindez as Enid, and Aaron Patrick Craven as Kyle and Dewey. Michael Bello is directing, leading a creative team that includes choreographer Katherine Roarty, music director Eric Alsford, scenic designer Frank J. Oliva, lighting designer Landhuis, costume designer Jess Gersz, wig designer Bobbie Zlotnick, and sound designer Megumi Katayama.

Closing out the season will be Come From Away, directed by Kevin S. McAllister. The cast will feature Mikayla Agrella as Janice, Erica Aubrey (Amazing Grace) as Diane, Galyana Castillo (Sweeney Todd) as Hannah, Crystal Kellogg (School of Rock) as Beverly and Annette, Torrey Linder (Beautiful) as Bob, Kara Mikula (White Christmas) as Beulah, Nasir Ali Panjwani (Monsoon Wedding) as Kevin J., Tim Quartier (Les Misérables) as Kevin and Garth, Chuck Ragsdale (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) as Nick and Doug, Adam Steven Du Plessis (Pretty Woman) as Oz, Laura Stracko (Diana) as Bonnie, and Thom Christopher Warren (The Lion King) as Claude. The production will feature choreography by Kathryn Tabb, music direction by Jeremy Jacobs, scenic design by Seth Howard, lighting design by Landhuis, and costume design by David Withrow.

The company will also present a cabaret series at Hotel Jerome July 2 and 14 and August 4 and 11, and a one-night-only presentation of the film adaptation of Fiddler on the Roof with a live orchestra July 23.
