A host of Broadway notables have signed on to star in an upcoming indie film inspired by Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None, titled The Auction. Per a report in Deadline, the film will be a fantasy-horror story set in a workplace, with further plot details being kept secret for now.

The cast will include six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald, K. Todd Freeman, two-time Tony winner Mary-Louise Parker, Richard Kind, and Tony winner Ben Vereen.

William Atticus Parker, 20-year-old son of Mary-Louise Parker and Billy Crudup, is writing, directing, producing, and acting in the feature, with sister Ash Parker penning an original song for the soundtrack. Sabina Friedman-Seitz and Cory Asinofsky are also producing.

First published in 1939, And Then There Were None currently holds the record as the best-selling mystery novel of all time. In classic Christie style, the story sees eight people personally invited to a remote island home by mysterious, unseen hosts. It turns out the group share a common, grisly trait: All have been accused of being murderers, and it appears that their island hosts are seeking justice for their alleged victims. The title has previously been adapted for film, radio, TV, and the stage.

The Auction is expected to film this summer, with a release date to be announced.
