Ashley Griffin's Trial will receive an industry presentation February 28. Lori Petty will direct the work centering on a woman in the afterlife has been offered a chance to partake in the judgement jury. The presentation will be held at NYC's TheaterLab.
Trial questions the morality of justice versus mercy, as a young woman has the opportunity in the afterlife to decide the fate of the man responsible for her death. The show has previously been developed at Manhattan Theatre Club and had a sold-out workshop run at the American Theatre of Actors.
The cast will feature Jennifer Bareilles (The Thanksgiving Play), Callum Blue (The Tudors), Ashley Griffin (The Greatest Showman), Steve Hauck (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) Kate Siegel (The Haunting of Hill House), Malcolm Stephenson, and Stormie Treviño (Fiddler on the Roof).
The presentation is produced by Fred Rohan Vargas (Parade, Company) and Mixing It Up Productions. Maddie O’Hara will serve as assistant director.
