Ashley Blanchet, Ben Crawford, Claybourne Elder, Ann Harada Join All-Star Beauty and the Beast at St. Louis Muny

The Muny, America's oldest and largest outdoor music theatre, has announced the lineup for its all star production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast this summer, running June 22-30.

Directed by John Tartaglia, Beauty and the Beast will star Ashley Blanchet as Belle, Ben Crawford as The Beast, Claybourne Elder as Gaston, Ann Harada as Mrs. Potts, Kelvin Moon Loh as Lumiere, Eric Jordan Young as Cogsworth, Holly Ann Butler as Babette, Tommy Bracco as Lefou, Harrison White as Maurice, Debby Lennon as Madame de la Grand Bouche, and Michael Hobin as Chip.

Beauty and the Beast will be choreographed by Patrick O'Neill, and feature music direction by Ben Whiteley. The production is sponsored by Ameren.

Additional company members, including ensemble casting and additional members of the creative team, will be announced at a later date.

Based on the Disney animated film of the same name, Beauty and the Beast boasts music by Alan Menken and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, with additional songs with music by Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice. The book is written by Linda Woolverton.
