The 92NY Unterberg Poetry Center’s 84th season continues February 6 at 7:30 PM with a celebration of the works of the Tony-winning Broadway playwright John Guare.

The evening of words and music in celebration of the famed playwright features Dylan Baker, Becky Ann Baker, Ato Blankson-Wood, Bill Camp, Paul Dano. Ariana DeBose, Billy Eichner, Linda Emond, Mike Faist, Edie Falco, Corey Hawkins, Amy Herzog, Samuel Hunter, Zoe Kazan, Tony Kushner, Linda Lavin, Kenneth Lonergan, Camryn Manheim, Elizabeth Marvel, Suzan-Lori Parks, Daniel Schlosberg, Wallace Shawn, Ben Stiller, and Meryl Streep. Wallace Shawn and Stephen Adly Guirgis participate via video.

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner, who is producing the event at the Manhattan venue, says, “So enormous is the esteem in which I hold the Great Guare and his monumentally important body of work. Like Williams, he figured out a way for Americans to do a kind of stage poetry. There are astonishingly beautiful things in his plays.”

Guare's theatrical works include Two Gentlemen of Verona, Lydie Breeze, Four Baboons Adoring the Sun, A Free Man of Color, Six Degrees of Separation, Sweet Smell of Success, The House of Blue Leaves, and Landscape of the Body.
