Step Into...The Movies, led by Emmy winners Derek Hough and Julianne Hough, airs March 20 at 10 PM ET on ABC. It highlights notable moments of dance on film, including reimagined sequences from Singin' in the Rain, Chicago, Dirty Dancing, Saturday Night Fever, and more.
The younger Hough sibling is best known for her on-screen portrayals of Sandy in Grease: Live, Ariel in Footloose, and Sherrie inRock of Ages. She's poised to make her Broadway debut in POTUS, opposite Lilli Cooper (Tootsie) and Rachel Dratch (White Rabbit Red Rabbit).
Featured performances include Broadway's Ariana DeBose and Rob Marshall for Chicago; Baz Luhrmann and Amber Riley for Moulin Rouge!; Kenny Ortega for Dirty Dancing; and John Stamos for La La Land.
Julianne Hough and Golden Globe winner DeBose are slated to perform "All That Jazz" from Chicago, which also includes a conversation with film adaptation director and choreographer Rob Marshall.
Additional performers are Charli D'Amelio for Dirty Dancing, Jenna Dewan for Saturday Night Fever, Harry Shum, Jr. for Beauty and the Beast, and Tate McRae for La La Land.
