When you're stuck at home due to April showers, tune into some of these streaming TV and movie picks for theatre lovers. This month, prepare to tune in to Disney+'s new, original musical Better Nate Than Ever, the Darren Criss-led romantic comedy Girl Most Likely, the Stephen King classic Carrie, and more. Check out what’s playing below.

Girl Most Likely (April 1)
Starring American Buffalo's Darren Criss and Kristen Wiig, this romantic comedy follows struggling playwright Imogene Duncan who gets fired from her low-level magazine job in New York City and finds herself returning to her childhood home in New Jersey following her mental break. Along with the leading duo, Girl Most Likely features stage favorites Annette Bening, Christopher Fitzgerald, and Natasha Lyonne.

William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet (April 1) 
Based on William Shakespeare's infamous tragedy, this 1996 movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes as the star-crossed lovers. Joining them is theater veterans Paul Rudd and John Leguizamo.

Les Misérables (April 1)
Before the star-studded 2012 movie adaptation of the Victor Hugo novel turned Broadway and West End musical was a 1998 non-musical flick starring Claire Danes and Liam Neeson. The movie features all the same characters popularized by the musical, including Jean Valjean, Fantine, and Cosette.

Better Nate Than Ever (April 1)
Based on the coming-of-age book series by Broadway veteran Tim Federle, this musical comedy follows seventh grader Nate Foster and his dreams of performing on Broadway. It also stars Joshua Bassett from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Crush (April 29)
Starring Moana's Auli'i Cravalho, Crush follows high school student who is forced to join her high school track team despite her interests lying in art. Broadway actor Megan Mullaly joins the cast alongside comedian Michelle Buteau and actor Rowan Blanchard.

Under the Banner of Heaven (April 28)
Led by Tony winner Andrew Garfield, this new miniseries follows the performer as a Utah detective who struggles to find the balance between faith and justice.

Nightcrawler (April 10)
This 2014 psychological thriller features Sea Wall/A Life's Jake Gyllenhaal as a criminal who while records violent events in Los Angeles for a local news station. In a mad dash for more money, he begins to edit the videos and mess with the victims in order to make the content seem more scandalous.

Russian Doll Season 2 (April 20)
This comedy drama follows stage favorite Natasha Lyonne as software engineer Nadia who finds herself trapped in an escapable time loop. The series first premiered in February 2019 to high critical reception and added Schitt's Creek actor Annie Murphy to the Season 2 cast.

Dirty Dancing (April 1)
Starring Jennifer Grey and the late Patrick Swayze, this romantic comedy follows Frances "Baby" Houseman as she visits a high-end resort and finds herself drawn to dancer Johnny Castle—Tony winner Jerry Orbach (ChicagoPromises, Promises) co-stars as Houseman's father. The movie was adapted into a stage production which is currently touring the UK.

Carrie (April 1)
The 1976 movie adaptation of Stephen King's psychological horror novel Carrie stars Sissy Spacek in the title role, as well as stage actors Betty Buckley and John Travolta. It follows the story of misunderstood high schooler Carrie White and her struggles dealing with bullying from her peers and her religious upbringing. The cult classic was made into a short-lived Broadway musical in 1988 (with Buckley playing Margaret White), later revived in 2021.
